Code of Conduct
Code of Conduct:
The Code of Conduct of Furtak & Salvenmoser GmbH applies equally to all employees, i.e. managers and each individual employee. The Code of Conduct forms the heart of the corporate culture and provides concrete and binding guidelines for situations in which employees must pay particular attention to acting responsibly.
Using examples, it describes how conflict situations can be dealt with in everyday business.
Code of Conduct for Suppliers and Business Partners:
We expect suppliers and business partners as well as their employees to act responsibly and to comply with applicable laws and respect basic ethical values at all times and everywhere.
That is why our company, the suppliers and business partners, would like to commit to our Code of Conduct, which contains minimum ethical standards, to comply with them.

Preamble
Code of Conduct:
Our company sees itself as part of an internationally intertwined economy and is an integral part of the countries and their societies in which we operate at its locations. We follow the basic understanding of the “honorable businessman” and are committed to our responsibility as a company.
- We closely monitor the direct and indirect effects of its business activities on the environment and society and strive to strike an appropriate balance between economic, ecological and social interests.
- We act in accordance with generally accepted values and principles, act in accordance with the law and pay particular attention to internationally recognised human rights and labour standards, as set out below.
- We stand behind the goals and contents of the Code of Conduct and will make all appropriate and reasonable efforts within the scope of our respective legal and factual possibilities.
- If existing national regulations conflict with the contents of the Code of Conduct or the domestic context makes it impossible to comply with them in full, our company will look for ways to best comply with the requirements of the Code of Conduct.

Our company only pursues legal business goals and practices and maintains business relationships only with reputable partners. We treat our business partners and customers fairly and appreciatively and respect the different legal, economic, social and cultural backgrounds as well as the special circumstances of the countries and regions in which we operate.
In doing so, Furtak & Salvenmoser GmbH pays attention to the laws and regulations of the respective countries and regions in which business activities take place. Our business activities are always guided by universal ethical values and principles, including integrity and respect for human dignity.
We are committed to free and fair world trade.
Our company strictly rejects any form of bribery and corruption. In doing so, we avoid any appearance of unfair advantages – whether by granting or accepting them. Furtak & Salvenmoser GmbH acts in accordance with the applicable regulations on import and export control and meets all legal requirements for the prevention of money laundering.
Our company is committed to free and fair competition. We do not tolerate anti-competitive agreements and ensure that our company acts in accordance with applicable antitrust laws. We consistently reject competitive advantages through unfair business practices.
The protection of the personal rights of our employees, business partners and customers is our top priority. When handling personal data, we strictly adhere to the applicable legal and regulatory requirements for data processing and information security.
We protect entrusted trade secrets and other confidential information of our business partners and customers from unauthorized acquisition, use and disclosure – at least within the scope of the relevant legal provisions for the protection of trade secrets.
Our company respects the intellectual property of its business partners, customers and other third parties. When sharing know-how and technologies, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect intellectual property rights.
To the extent that our products and services affect the interests of customers, we take appropriate measures to ensure their safety and quality. We ensure that our products and services comply with the applicable consumer protection regulations.
In the context of information and sales measures, Furtak & Salvenmoser GmbH takes into account the interests of consumers by complying with the legal requirements for fair business, marketing and advertising practices as well as consumer education.
The protection and preservation of the natural foundations of life is a shared responsibility to which we are committed. With this in mind, we conduct our business activities in an ecologically responsible manner and are committed to the goal of a climate-neutral future.
Unser Unternehmen nimmt seine ökologische Verantwortung wahr, indem es die geltenden gesetzlichen Vorgaben und anerkannten Standards zum Schutz von Umwelt und Klima einhält. Wir arbeiten kontinuierlich daran, die negativen Auswirkungen unserer geschäftlichen Aktivitäten auf Umwelt und Klima zu reduzieren.
Wir wenden das geltende Recht an und ergreifen geeignete Maßnahmen, die sich an gesetzlichen und international anerkannten Standards orientieren und unter anderem folgende Themen abdecken:
- Sach- und fachgerechter sowie verantwortungsbewusster Umgang mit gefährlichen Stoffen, Chemikalien und Abfällen, einschließlich deren Entsorgung.
- Maßnahmen zur Reduktion oder Vermeidung von Abfällen.
- Minimierung von Emissionen aus Betriebsabläufen (z. B. Abwasser, Abluft, Lärm, Treibhausgase).
- Schonung natürlicher Ressourcen durch Maßnahmen zur Einsparung von Wasser, Chemikalien und anderen Rohstoffen sowie die Förderung der Kreislaufwirtschaft.
- Einsatz klima- und umweltfreundlicher Technologien, Verfahren, Rohstoffe und Produkte.
- Maßnahmen zur Steigerung der Energieeffizienz und des Anteils erneuerbarer Energien am Energieverbrauch an den Unternehmensstandorten.
Human dignity is inviolable. Therefore, our company respects internationally recognized human rights as set out in the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Furtak & Salvenmoser is also guided by the internationally recognised labour standards of the International Labour Organization (ILO), which are described in more detail in the Code of Conduct.
In all our business activities, we are committed to neither causing nor contributing to human rights violations. We expect the same from our business partners. Where necessary and possible, we support our suppliers in complying with these standards.
Our company treats its employees with appreciation.
We strongly oppose any form of unlawful punishment, abuse, harassment, intimidation or other undignified treatment of workers. Furtak & Salvenmoser GmbH adheres to the applicable labour law in all employment relationships and expects the same from its contractual partners.
Employees receive understandable information about their essential working conditions at the beginning of their employment relationship, including their rights and obligations, working hours, remuneration, and payment and billing modalities.
We respect and protect the right of employees to terminate their employment relationship in compliance with the applicable notice period.
We do not tolerate child labor and adhere to the legally prescribed minimum age for taking up work. Under no circumstances does our company employ persons under the age at which compulsory education ends according to the legal provisions of the place of employment, as well as persons under the age of 15. Internships are organized in accordance with the legal requirements.
We expect our contractual partners to implement appropriate age verification procedures to prevent child labor. If child labour is nevertheless detected, all necessary measures must be taken immediately to ensure the welfare, protection and development of the child concerned.
In the case of persons under 18 years of age, the rights of young workers must be particularly respected. Employment is only permitted if it is ensured that the terms and conditions of employment do not jeopardise their health, safety or morals or impair their personal development.
The rejection of forced or compulsory labor in any form is our highest priority!
This also applies to debt bondage, serfdom, slavery or slave-like practices, as well as human trafficking. Our company does not tolerate any form of involuntary work and services that are incompatible with internationally recognized labor and social standards.
We apply the statutory or, where applicable, collective bargaining provisions on the remuneration of work performance. Our company ensures that the applicable statutory minimum wage, as defined in collective bargaining agreements or customary in the industry, is not undercut.
We comply with the legal or collective bargaining provisions on working hours, including regulations on overtime, rest breaks and recreational leave.
- the regular weekly working hours, including maximum overtime, are not exceeded.
- Working time regulations are consistently observed.
